About Us

When Tony Stock, the editor of the magazine ‘Discovering Stone’ asked me to explain the secret of CMP’s success I immediately replied – “Quality, Service and the Right Attitude” apply all three and you are surely on the road to success.

Since we began trading back in 1991, the only way to ensure our survival in a competitive market was to find what the market demanded and listening to our customers’ needs.

We have always upgraded to the best quality diamond tooling, especially blades; it was easy to make this choice because we are an independent supplier that listens to the customer. For cutting natural stone, the bench mark was set by the introduction of our ‘Granite Master’ and ‘Laser Pro’ series of dry-cutting blades from Japan and the range of ‘Italdiamant’ bridge-saw blades.

Over the years we have collaborated with some of the world’s leading diamond tool manufacturers and are in constant contact with them in regard to on-going research and development,. We are also the agents in Victoria and Tasmania for the Farnese Australia range of machinery – they are an Australian company based in Sydney.

The ‘Mitre Saw Plus’ is now an essential machine for every bench-top fabricator’s workshop. Farnese’s machinery range includes bridge-saws – from the traditional ‘Luca; to the 4-Axis CNC ‘Marco’ model as well as the ‘Alexia’ CNC stone-working centre – all available at affordable prices.

Our National Sales Manager, Brian McLoghlin, has been in the stone industry since 2001 and in this time has gained a useful knowledge in regards to chisels, tooling and machinery. Based in Brisbane, we have Laurie Smith, our -on-the-road Sales Representative who has established himself as a valuable asset for CMP in the Queensland market.

With Jason Govender and Richard Graham on internal sales and warehousing in Melbourne and Kathy and Patsy in accounts and administration, we try to serve you the best we can and pride ourselves on immediate delivery – our ‘second-to-none’ service!

CMP is dedicated to finding the solutions to our customers’ ever-changing needs.

We have machine technicians readily available for all repair and service work on any stone machine.

Our warehouse and show room, located at 7 Bolt Court, Hallam is readily accessible via the near-by freeways and major roads, so please feel free to come by and browse around.
